The girl wasn't particularly excited about coming down to the Weyrbowl, but her little fire-lizards had wanted to. She had crept through the empty space before the lake like a convict escaped from prison. And she hadn't been totally happy about doing anything outside of the candidate barracks. But Her father, Nenz, didn't want her to be a hermit all of her life. So, honoring her father's wishes, the girl went outside. This was a feat for her, actually, since she didn't want to be outside at all today. But, along with her father, her fire-lizards had goaded her into it.
Right now, her wild Bronze, Xeff, was lounging on a rock that was warm from the sun shining on it. He watched the Gold and His with expert eyes. He had been trained to attack only on the girl's signal, but had never gotten rid of his fierce instinct to protect. The Gold was having fun swimming in the shallows. Hera swam in circles, goading Xeff to come join her. Sticker would have come, except he couldn't get over there without running across the hot sand. His wings had been injured at birth, and he could never fly again. So, the small Black just lay across the girl's shoulder.
Zenniel was determined not to become the old Zenniel, the hermit. Instead, she sat down almost proudly, wanting to be the new Zenniel. The Zenniel that could stare anything down without fear. Unfortunately, that Zenniel wouldn't show up for a Turn or so...

B'mre was walking through the Weyrbowl with Zenth in tow. He was in his usal mood of not wanting to do what he was told so he went to the beach. Zenth then siad to him Look Mine there is someone over there. B'mre looked over and saw the girl sitting on the sand. His firelizards were aslo looking in that direction form there purchs on Zenth. B'mre then walked over there to were she was and sat down next to her as Zenth curled up around him. He then smiled and said to her " Hello."

Zenniel knew that there was someone approaching by the way Xeff suddenly straightened up and how a low growl had started in his throat. And, yes, she also knew that someone was coming upon her by the fact that she could hear the Pink's tone in her head. The Pink had spotted her, and so, of course, had its rider. Zen had nothing against the pinks, and actually rather wanted a Pink because she thought they were cute, and horribly under-thought of. If she got a Pink... well, then she would surely teach it how to be free.
But she wasn't ready for the Pink and its rider to sit down near her. She stiffened, still not fully out of her shell. Sticker looked at the Pink curiously, craning his head around to watch the Pink's movements. Zen was sure the man had said something, but she couldn't be too sure of what, so instead of replying (she wasn't going to, anyway), she just sat there, watching as Hera slowly came to a stop and looked at the flitters perched on Zenth. She chirped a question, a question if they wanted to come swim with her or not.

Zenth was quick to pick up on the girls shyness becuase hers used to be the same way and she siad to Zenniel My name is Zenth and there is no reason to be shy my dear. You can talk to me and Mine we are very nice. She then rubbed her head angist Zenniel's side. B'mre smiled and said " My name is B'mre and she is right you know. It is ok. There is no need to be so neverous." Amethyst flew form her purch on Zenth and landed in fornt of Zennial. She chirped up at her. B'mre looked at the girl with a smile on his face.

Zenniel frowned at both dragon and rider. She already knew both of their names, it wasn't hard not to. The Pinkrider was a drudge, but he was possibly the worst drudge in the history of drudge-dom. He never did anything. But, being polite, she erased the frown in two seconds. And tried a smile. She was sure she butchered it. "Hello Zenth, Hello B'mre." She lifted a hand, which seemed delicate, but actually wasn't, as she had worked in the beastcraft hall most of her life, and petted Amethyst on the head. "I'm Zenniel."

B'mre smiled and reached out his hand and shook hers and then looked at her curiously. Zenth then looked at Zenniel and siad Hello Zenniel. My dear what are you doing sitting out here all by yourself. It is a lovely day. So what is on your mind my dear. B'mre smiled and said " You can tell us. We won't say nothing. We're your friends." B'mre had noticed the frown and he expected this conversation not to go well becuase he beileved this girl had a bad opinition of him. Yet he wanted to wait and see.

Zenniel attempted another smile, though this one was worse than the first. Or maybe it was better, but she couldn't really tell. Xeff had started to grumble louder, which usually meant he didn't like someone, or it could mean he liked someone, he just didn't want to admit it. Zen really wanted Xeff to start making up his mind. Turning to speak directly to the dragoness, Zenniel smiled, "I like your name, Zenth. My nickname is actually Zen, and it's so close to your name..." She let the thought taper off. She didn't know what to say about that.
Then, turning back to B'mre, she chuckled and said, "You know, when you say, 'We won't say nothing,' you're contradicting yourself. You're actually saying you'll say something. But i know you won't, you seem like the type that won't."
More commanding now, Hera chirped at the fire-lizards accompanying the Pinkrider. Sticker jumped at her calls, as he knew that Hera could get really mad really fast. But her calls were not directed toward him, so he lay limply across the girl's shoulders. He wanted as small a target as possible, just in case the Gold decided to attack (maybe not physically, but she could get really loud).

Zenth looked at Zenniel and said Why thank you my dear. That is very sweet of you to say. I like your name too. Zenth liked this girl she was very nice and acted as though they were not a servent like everone else treated them as. Bamre liked her too and for the exact same reason. Bamre smiled and said " I am gald you understand." The Pruple and Bronze firelizard hurried over to the gold to play with her in the water the black got up to go to but, Zenth blocked its path and Bamre reached out and grabbed it. The black did not struggle to get away and laid limply in Bamre's arms. Bamre luaghed abit and siad " I don't really like letting him out of arms reach I get afraid that he might get hurt."

Zenniel watched the dragon as she spoke. Zenth was cool, and since Zen was older than the Pink, Zen thought Zenth had chosen her name because of Zen. But, the girl's rational mind knew, the dragon had had no idea that it had been the girl's name at the time of her hatching. Zenniel grinned at B'mre's attempt to keep the small black at bay, but she knew that her Gold wanted to play with every fire-lizard.
And so Hera did. She now directed her attention on Xeff and Sticker. Sticker slithered down to the girl's lap, not wholly wanting to go. Xeff could have gone, but he really didn't want to. He felt that he had to watch His. Sticker wanted to go, too, but the sand was too hot. He complained to Hera, and though she listened, she did not like it. And then she ignored Xeff. Instead, she focused red-tinged eyes on her siblings, then turned away. Two fire-lizards to play with would have to be enough. Hera flipped around in the water, flapping her wings so that water splashed out from under them.
Zenniel watched her fire-lizards for a second before a thought entered her mind. Since he was so nice to her, she reasoned that the Pink dragons were just like normal dragons, only smaller. He wouldn't mind answering her question. "What did you feel when Zenth Impressed herself to you?"
