.:Overview:. Marketa is an alternate 10th pass weyr where everything at about fourth pass and later never happened and some things early on were a touch different. Wind Blossom created "accidentals" that she sent to the islands in fear of how the rest of Pern would act. All females are clutching females among the island dragons and anyone can be a weyrwoman just by challenging the weyrwoman to a contest of first flight or weyrleader fight. Anyone that turns down a challenge is looked down upon by the weyr, no matter how good they are. Glory Island Weyr has traditional colors that stay around and spy on Marketa. These dragons come for "vacation" What most people don't take into account are the Pinks, the small little drudges...	.:News:. Scarlet Halth, dragon of Amynl, had a nice clutch, sadly enough, many went wild, but almost all cnadidates impressed. Poor Lainy was left on the sands... Whatever shall we do without our drudges to help us at Marketa Island Weyr. Riders need to start posting reactions... There is one island wher that was a mess up on Wind Blossom's part. This wher cannot be spared separate handlers from dragon riders and so the one egg that the females had was always gotten by the people with more merrits (sort of like marks, they are used as a barter system, people can earn them by trading or by protecting the weyr from an island dragon, learn more on merrit board) The whers are fancy pets since they rarley ever run and only produce one egg if they are female.

Glitter Wher: These whers can be male or female and look like they are made of glitter, though if you tough them you will realize that their hide is just a normal hide no matter what they look like. The female produces one egg every turn when she runs and these pets are very rare and you need a lot of merrits to have one.
